Event

We supported the JDRF Game2Give event by organizing 6 days of online Mario Kart charity events.  The first three days each had a unique event run by our one of our Streaming Partners.  During the second three days, a 3-day tournament was run by Mario Kart Central that featured some of the best Mario Kart players in the world.

Games

  • Pokemon Sword or Pokemon Shield - Awarded to a randomly selected participant in the Day 1, 2, or 3 Event.

  • Pokemon Sword or Pokemon Shield - Once our campaign raised $500, a second game was be awarded to a randomly selected participant in the Day 1, 2, or 3 Event.

  • Pokemon Sword or Pokemon Shield - Awarded to the winner of the 3-day tournament.  1st place picked the version he/she wanted.

  • Pokemon Sword or Pokemon Shield - Awarded to the runner-up of the 3-day tournament.

  • Nintendo Switch console - Awarded to the person who donated the most money to JDRF ($25 minimum) during one of our Game2Give Event livestreams.

  • Nintendo Switch console - Once our campaign raised $1500, a second console was be awarded to a randomly selected donor who donated at least $15 to JDRF during one of our Game2Give Event livestreams. 

2020 Events

Online Mario Kart charity tournaments will continue next year.  The format and how these tournaments will tie into our annual event are still being determined.  More details will be shared after the Game2Give event.

Past Events

  • Type None Grand Prix Online Tournaments were scheduled every other Thursday starting at 5pm EST.

  • The tournaments alternated between 100cc and 150cc.

  • Online registration was required to receive the online tournament code.  

  • Participants completed 12 online races against other registered players.  

  • At the end of each tournament, the players with the highest scores received Amazon Gift Cards (100cc tournament) or Nintendo eShop Gift Cards (150cc tournament).  Registration fees went towards these gift cards which were emailed to the top players.

  • Each tournament was streamed live by our Streaming Partners on Twitch and YouTube.  Current Streaming Partners were shared on our Facebook and Twitter accounts.  

  • Viewers of the tournament livestreams donated to JDRF.  If the $200 livestream donation goal was reached, the top donor received a Gift Card to Target or Walmart.  Registration fees went towards these gift cards which were emailed to the top donors.

2-4 Participants:

5-8 Participants:

  • 1st place: 70%

  • 2nd place: 30%

9+ Participants:

  • 1st: 60%

  • 2nd: 30%

  • 3rd: 10%
