Online Mario Kart Charity Tournament to support type 1 diabetes research!

Registration

$5 to enter with 90% going to JDRF, the global leader in funding for type 1 diabetes research.

Donations

Donations are welcome and can be done at the event livestream website.

Donations can be made at any time, including during the live stream.

Registered players are encouraged to ask friends and family to support them by donating to the event livestream website.  To do this, registered players ask friends and family members to enter their first and last name in the "Comments" section when making their donation.  The top 2 registered players who get the most support from donations will automatically advance to the semifinals which will be streamed live.  Donation totals will be shared regularly using player usernames on Facebook and Twitter.

Prizes

The prizes and total amount of prizes are based on the total amount of registered players.

10-19 registered players: 1st place receives a ticket to Super Smash Con 2021 or a Game2Give Tee Shirt

20-29 registered players: Top 2 receive a ticket to Super Smash Con 2021 or a Game2Give Tee Shirt

30-39 registered players: Top 3 receive a ticket to Super Smash Con 2021 or a Game2Give Tee Shirt

40-49 registered players: Top 4 receive a ticket to Super Smash Con 2021 or a Game2Give Tee Shirt

50-59 registered players: Top 5 receive a ticket to Super Smash Con 2021 or a Game2Give Tee Shirt

50+ registered players: 1st place receives a $50 Walmart Gift Card

60-69 registered players: Top 6 receive a ticket to Super Smash Con 2021 or a Game2Give Tee Shirt

70-79 registered players: Top 7 receive a ticket to Super Smash Con 2021 or a Game2Give Tee Shirt

80-89 registered players: Top 8 receive a ticket to Super Smash Con 2021 or a Game2Give Tee Shirt

90-99 registered players: Top 9 receive a ticket to Super Smash Con 2021 or a Game2Give Tee Shirt

100+ registered players: Top 10 receive a ticket to Super Smash Con 2021 or a Game2Give Tee Shirt

Players who win a Super Smash Con 2021 ticket or a Game2Give Tee Shirt pick which prize they prefer.

Format

Qualifying Round - Streamed live at: https://www.twitch.tv/redpandaparty

· 3 – 4 pm EDT

· All registered players will be emailed the tournament code on the day before the event. This code is for registered players only and should not be shared.  Unregistered players who place in the top 20 will prevent registered players who should advance from advancing.

· Players must complete all 12 of their qualifying races during the TNGP Online Qualifier tournament 1 hour time period (3 – 4 pm EDT)

Semifinals - Streamed live at: https://www.twitch.tv/mariokartcentral

· 6 – 6:30 pm EDT

· Top 20 registered players (based on points) from the TNGP Online Qualifier will advance to the Semifinals

· Players need to check the TypeNoneGrandPrix website for room/host assignments (details should be posted by 5:30pm EDT)

· All players will need to send a Friend Request to their assigned host

· Hosts will create rooms 20 minutes before the scheduled start time of the Semifinals (5:40pm EDT)

· All players will need to join their host’s room prior to the deadline, which is the scheduled start of the Semifinals (6pm EDT)

· Semifinals will consist of 8 races

· Hosts will submit a screenshot of the final results to the tournament organizer

Finals - Streamed live at: https://www.twitch.tv/mariokartcentral

· 7 – 8 pm EDT

· Top 10 players (based on points) from the Semifinals will advance to the Finals

· Players need to check the TypeNoneGrandPrix website to see who advanced (details should be posted by 6:45pm EDT)

· All players will need to send a Friend Request to the host

· Host will create a room 20 minutes before the scheduled start time of the Finals (6:40pm EDT)

· All players will need to join the host’s room prior to the deadline, which is the scheduled start of the Finals (7pm EDT)

· Finals will consist of 12 races
